IT Systems and Operations Specialist
4-Day Work Week Option Available
Location: St. Paul, MN

Salary Range: $71,428.70 - $92,857.31 annually


The IT Systems & Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's technology environment, including user support, Microsoft 365 administration, device management, onboarding and offboarding processes, security initiatives, vendor coordination, and day-to-day IT operations. This position provides support to office-based, remote, and community-based employees, including clinicians, case managers, and administrative staff.

Main Duties and Responsibility

  • Be the go-to technology support resource for onsite, remote, and field-based staff, helping resolve hardware, software, access, connectivity, and telehealth issues.
  • Help staff get the support they need by tracking, prioritizing, resolving, and escalating requests while spotting trends and suggesting improvements.
  • Create a smooth technology experience for new hires and staff transitions by setting up devices, accounts, licenses, and system access.
  • Support staff confidence with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, MFA, remote access, secure device use, and everyday technology workflows.
  • Keep technology running smoothly by configuring, deploying, and maintaining laptops, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, permissions, licenses, and inventory.
  • Partner with vendors, providers, and the MSP to resolve issues, support upgrades, and strengthen security safeguards such as endpoint protection, patching, and mobile device security.
  • Help protect sensitive information by supporting HIPAA, HITECH, privacy, security, incident response, risk assessment, audit, and PHI handling requirements.
  • Maintain clear documentation for systems, devices, procedures, onboarding materials, business continuity, backups, and downtime processes.
  • Pitch in with other duties as needed to support staff, technology operations, and organizational goals.
  • Travel between the primary administrative office in St. Paul and other organizational locations, including Minneapolis, Burnsville, and Duluth, as required to support business operations.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years of IT support or systems administration experience
  • Experience supporting Windows-based environments (iPhone experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Excel, Word, Power Automate, Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive
  • Experience supporting remote or mobile workforces
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support non-technical users


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nonprofit, behavioral health, or human services environments
  • Experience supporting case managers or field-based staff
  • Basic networking and security knowledge (VPNs, MFA, device encryption)
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar)

  • Must be in current position for over 6 months
  • Must have all performance appraisals up to date
  • Must not have any current disciplines on file within the past 6 months
