IT Technician I

Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming incidents and service requests by assessing urgency, following established support procedures, and meeting service-level expectations.

• Troubleshoot user issues with the help of remote access tools and diagnostic applications to restore service efficiently.

• Provide on-site technical support when in-person assistance is needed, including desktop repairs, peripheral setup, and hardware replacement.

• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software across end-user devices and connected network equipment.

• Deploy antivirus protection, monitor update status, and help maintain endpoint security standards.

• Carry out routine preventative maintenance for workstations, printers, and related peripherals to support reliable performance.

• Build productive working relationships with employees across departments to deliver responsive and thorough technical support.

• Follow company safety and security guidelines while performing support activities and handling equipment.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in desktop support, help desk support, or a similar IT support role.
• Working knowledge of basic troubleshooting methods for hardware, software, and user access issues.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments in a business setting.
• Familiarity with service desk ticketing processes and the ability to track, update, and resolve support requests accurately.
• Ability to use remote support tools and perform hands-on technical work when needed.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach when assisting end users.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work within defined service expectations.
