Accounts Receivable Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Create and issue customer invoices with a high level of accuracy while ensuring billing is completed within required timelines.
• Review open receivables, track past-due balances, and communicate with customers to encourage prompt payment.
• Record incoming payments, apply credits correctly, and reconcile account activity to maintain accurate balances.
• Research billing questions and payment discrepancies, then work toward timely resolution with the appropriate parties.
• Keep organized documentation of transactions, correspondence, and account updates to support financial accuracy.
• Prepare receivables aging information and contribute to collection efforts aimed at reducing overdue accounts.
• Partner with accounting, sales, and customer support teams to resolve account-related concerns efficiently.
• Assist with month-end accounts receivable tasks and provide supporting records during audit requests.
• Follow established financial policies, accounting practices, and internal control standards in daily work.
Qualifications:
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, cash application, or general accounting is preferred.
• Working knowledge of accounting systems and solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounts receivable processes, cash applications, commercial collections, billing functions, and cash activity.
• Strong accuracy, organization, and attention to detail when managing financial records.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to handle multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
