Legal Intake Specialist
Our client is an established and growing personal injury law firm in Houston seeking a Spanish-bilingual Legal Intake Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal professional who enjoys working directly with prospective clients and wants to grow with a successful firm.
Position Overview
The Legal Intake Specialist will serve as one of the first points of contact for prospective personal injury clients. This individual will be responsible for handling inbound inquiries, gathering detailed information regarding potential claims, conducting initial case evaluations, and ensuring qualified leads are efficiently transitioned to the appropriate legal team.
Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls, emails, and inquiries from prospective personal injury clients
Conduct thorough client intake interviews and gather information regarding accidents, injuries, and potential claims
Screen and qualify prospective clients based on the firm's case criteria
Clearly explain the intake process and next steps to prospective clients
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all prospective clients and case information
Follow up with leads and prospective clients in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, and other members of the legal team regarding new cases
Enter and update client information in the firm's case management system
Provide exceptional customer service while communicating with clients who may be experiencing stressful circumstances
Protect confidential client and case information
Assist with other administrative and intake-related responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish required
Previous experience working at a personal injury law firm required
Prior legal intake, legal assistant, case manager, or client-facing legal experience strongly preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to gather and document detailed information accurately
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable handling a high volume of calls and prospective clients
Professional, empathetic, and confident when communicating with clients
Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a legal team
Must be comfortable working on-site Monday through Friday
