Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Responsibilities:
• Manage hiring coordination by posting openings, arranging interviews, communicating with applicants, and assisting with pre-employment steps such as reference checks and offer documentation.
• Lead onboarding and separation activities by preparing required paperwork, facilitating orientation, and ensuring a smooth transition for both new hires and departing employees.
• Maintain accurate employee files and HR data systems, including updates related to job changes, transfers, promotions, leave activity, and employment status adjustments.
• Provide support for benefits and payroll processes by answering employee questions, coordinating with external partners, and helping ensure personnel information is current and complete.
• Monitor attendance and leave records while partnering with internal teams and staffing agencies to support timekeeping and payroll-related administration.
• Respond to employee questions regarding workplace policies and standard HR procedures, escalating more complex concerns when appropriate.
• Assist with employee engagement efforts, training coordination, and development programs by organizing sessions, tracking completion, and supporting participation.
• Help maintain compliance with applicable employment regulations by managing I-9 documentation, preparing audit materials, and producing HR reports and productivity metrics as needed.
• Work with outside legal or HR service providers when required to support documentation, compliance, or employee relations matters.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in human resources, recruiting coordination, or HR administration.• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR recordkeeping.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to maintain accurate data and documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills; bilingual ability is preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and apply sound judgment in confidential situations.
• HR certification or experience helping build or improve HR-related systems is a plus.
Compensation
