Bookkeeper
We are looking for a dependable Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a private manufacturing facility in Burns, Tennessee. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate financial records, working closely with a small team, and keeping routine accounting processes on track. The role offers a stable on-site environment, strong collaboration with leadership, and the opportunity to contribute to a well-established business.
**On-site Monday-Friday**
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions and maintaining organized, accurate accounting records.
• Process vendor invoices and payments while ensuring accounts payable information is complete, timely, and properly documented.
• Apply customer payments, track incoming funds, and maintain accurate accounts receivable balances.
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to help preserve the accuracy of monthly financial reporting.
• Support month-end close by entering invoices on schedule, preparing cash receipt records, and completing reconciliations within required deadlines.
• Use QuickBooks, Excel, and industry-specific software to monitor financial activity and generate needed accounting information.
• Partner with accounting leadership to address questions, provide updates, and support ongoing financial operations.
• Contribute to accounting tasks within a manufacturing setting, ensuring records reflect operational activity and billing accurately.
Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation work.• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel in an accounting environment.
• Ability to manage multiple financial tasks accurately while meeting recurring monthly deadlines.
• Prior experience supporting accounting functions within a manufacturing or industrial business environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a consistent approach to maintaining complete and reliable financial records.
• Associate degree preferred, or comparable practical experience that demonstrates accounting capability.
• Comfortable working on-site five days per week in Tennessee.
Compensation
