Paralegal

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to support complex wage and hour class action matters for a law firm in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a Contract position offering approximately 20 to 40 hours of work, with the potential to contribute to additional projects as needs arise. The ideal candidate will bring strong litigation support skills, sound judgment, and the ability to prepare clear, accurate legal documents in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and organize legal filings, settlement-related materials, and supporting documentation for wage and hour class action cases.
• Draft motions, correspondence, and other case documents for attorney review, ensuring accuracy and consistency with court requirements.
• Assist with filings tied to case approvals and settlement proceedings, including compiling exhibits and managing deadlines.
• Coordinate discovery activities by tracking requests, organizing records, and maintaining complete case materials.
• Support trial and hearing preparation by assembling binders, exhibits, and other litigation resources.
• Maintain case information in case management systems and keep files updated, accessible, and well organized.
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, court personnel, and other parties to help move matters forward efficiently.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of paralegal experience, preferably within litigation or class action matters.
• Hands-on experience supporting wage and hour cases, settlements, or related complex legal matters.
• Ability to draft motions and other legal documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of discovery processes, court filings, and trial preparation activities.
• Proficiency with case management software and document organization in a legal setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Compensation

$23.75-$30.00 Hourly
