Sr. Accountant
Responsibilities:
• Oversee financial management for assigned projects, including tracking budgets, monitoring costs, assessing revenue activity, and explaining performance against plan.
• Produce reliable financial reporting that supports both project-level visibility and overall organizational decision-making.
• Contribute to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures by preparing entries, reviewing balances, and helping maintain reporting deadlines.
• Assist with consolidated reporting by compiling schedules, validating data from multiple entities or locations, and supporting financial statement preparation.
• Examine project-related expenses to confirm proper classification, completeness, and alignment with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Work closely with project leaders and operational stakeholders to review forecasts, evaluate spending trends, and identify financial risks or opportunities.
• Perform account reconciliations, research variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner to preserve the integrity of the general ledger.
• Support audit and compliance needs by organizing documentation, responding to requests, and reinforcing adherence to internal controls.
• Analyze profitability and other key financial outcomes, then communicate practical insights to leadership to guide planning and performance improvement.
• Recommend and support enhancements to accounting workflows, reporting processes, and system usage to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.• At least 3 years of accounting experience, including exposure to financial reporting and consolidated results.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close activities, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and variance investigation.
• Prior public accounting experience is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working within accounting or ERP systems.
• Solid analytical, organizational, and communication abilities, with the capacity to manage competing deadlines effectively.
Compensation
