Logistics Coordinator

Robert Half is assisting a client with the search for a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support day-to-day shipping, transportation, inventory, and order fulfillment activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, coordinating with vendors, carriers, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure shipments are processed accurately and delivered on time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from order placement through final delivery.
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers, freight forwarders, and warehouse teams.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates regarding delays, changes, or delivery issues.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents, bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, and other logistics paperwork.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment status and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate incoming inventory and ensure products are received accurately and on schedule.
• Work closely with warehouse teams to provide shipping and receiving instructions.
• Monitor open orders and prioritize shipments based on deadlines and customer requirements.
• Assist with freight quotes, transportation scheduling, and carrier selection.
• Help resolve shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, delivery issues, and claims.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory movements, and logistics-related documentation.
• Update internal systems with tracking information, shipment status, and customer order details.
• Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating potential shortages.
• Assist with returns, replacement shipments, and other order-related logistics.
• Prepare reports related to shipments, deliveries, inventory, and transportation activity.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, shipping, transportation, supply chain, or order fulfillment.
• Experience coordinating shipments with carriers, warehouses, and freight providers.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems; SAP experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and logistics terminology.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers, vendors, carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments.
• Ability to identify issues quickly and follow through until they are resolved.
• Bilingual English/Spanish
