IT Support Lead

Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify an IT Support Lead (contract). In this role, you will serve as the primary technology support resource for a growing Austin office of approximately 150 employees. This highly visible role will act as the local face of IT, providing hands-on end-user support while partnering with global technology teams to ensure a seamless employee experience. This role is onsite in Austin, Tx. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary onsite IT support resource for the Austin office.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for hardware, software, and end-user issues.
• Act as the local escalation point and coordinate with remote IT teams when necessary.
• Support employee onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, and equipment deployment.
• Administer endpoint management platforms, including device provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot Mac and Windows devices, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware.
• Support cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools.
• Assist with user access management and application support.
• Support video conferencing technologies and conference room equipment.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory and support documentation.
• Troubleshoot networking, connectivity, and virtual desktop environment (VDI) issues.
• Manage and prioritize service requests, incidents, and escalations in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, user experience, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in IT support, desktop support, or endpoint administration.
• Experience supporting both Mac and Windows environments, with a strong focus on Mac devices.
• Experience with endpoint management tools such as Jamf and/or Microsoft Intune.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and SaaS applications.
• Experience supporting cloud-based productivity platforms.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
• Comfortable working in a highly visible role with significant end-user interaction.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering Jamf Pro in an enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with VDI technologies and Windows virtual desktop environments.
• Experience supporting identity and access management platforms.
• Basic scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
• Working knowledge of ITIL principles and best practices.
• Experience supporting collaboration tools, video conferencing systems, and modern workplace technologies.
