Communications Specialist
Robert Half is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a Communications Specialist (contract). In this role, you will support corporate communications, public relations, and brand awareness initiatives. This role will assist in creating compelling content, managing media engagement activities, monitoring press coverage, and supporting strategic communications efforts across the organization. This role is onsite in Austin, Tx.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases, announcements, and media materials.
- Support public relations initiatives that enhance brand visibility and market presence.
- Build and maintain relationships with media contacts and industry publications.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare regular reporting on communications performance.
- Conduct research to support communications campaigns and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate media interviews, speaking opportunities, and related logistics.
- Proofread and review communications materials for accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment.
- Track media metrics and campaign results to identify trends and opportunities.
- Provide general support for communications, marketing, and public relations projects.
- Assist with additional communications initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience developing content for multiple audiences and communication channels.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience supporting media relations and brand awareness initiatives preferred.
- Background within a professional services environment is a plus.
