Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis for a growing San Francisco organization. This hybrid contract role will work with accounting and business leaders to provide clear and actionable financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and budget-to-actual analyses.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, headcount, and operational performance.
• Maintain financial models and departmental reporting schedules.
• Investigate financial variances and communicate key business drivers.
• Partner with department leaders to gather forecasting assumptions.
• Assist with annual budgeting and long-range planning activities.
• Develop dashboards and management presentations.
• Validate financial data across accounting and planning systems.
• Support scenario analysis and business-case development.
• Improve reporting processes through Excel, Power BI, or other tools.

Qualifications:

2+ years of financial analysis, FP& A, or corporate finance experience.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.

Strong budgeting, forecasting, and variance-analysis experience.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and lookup formulas.

Ability to summarize complex financial information for business stakeholders.

Experience with NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or a similar system preferred.

Power BI, Tableau, or comparable reporting experience is a plus.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
