AP Specialist – DFW FTEP

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for greater variety without sacrificing the stability of full-time employment?
Robert Half’s Full-Time Engagement Professionals practice is hiring Accounts Payable Specialists to join our growing DFW team. As a full-time, salaried Robert Half employee, you will support one client engagement at a time while gaining experience across different companies, industries, accounting systems and business environments.
Our practice is based in Fort Worth, but we hire professionals throughout the DFW area. Project locations are based on where each employee lives, with the expectation that team members can commute approximately 30 miles from their home and work onsite five days per week when required by the client.
What You’ll Do
Project assignments may include:
• Full-cycle accounts payable
• High-volume invoice processing
• Three-way matching
• Purchase order and non-purchase order invoices
• Invoice coding and approval routing
• Vendor setup and maintenance
• Vendor statement reconciliations
• Payment processing, including checks, ACH and wires
• Resolving invoice, pricing and payment discrepancies
• Employee expense report review
• Accounts payable aging and reporting
• Month-end close support
• Accruals and journal-entry support
• Audit documentation and research
• AP inbox management
• Process cleanup and backlog reduction
• SOP documentation and process improvement
• ERP implementations and system conversions
• Interim support during vacancies, growth or special projects
Qualifications:
What We’re Looking For
• At least three years of hands-on accounts payable experience
• Strong understanding of the full accounts payable cycle
• Experience processing invoices and reconciling vendor accounts
• Ability to research discrepancies and communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-through
• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
• Professional communication and client-service skills
• Flexibility to adapt to different industries, teams and project environments
• Willingness to commute approximately 30 miles from home and work onsite five days per week when required
Experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday, PeopleSoft, Sage, QuickBooks, Coupa, Concur or similar platforms is helpful.

Compensation
