As a Sales Representative 1, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below:
Essential Functions:
Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other communication methods.
Provide technical assistance to customers for all Daniel Defense products.
Process various types of sales orders as needed.
Assist with administrative office tasks such as filing documents, preparing for events, and organizing work areas.
Engage in technical discussions with customers and internal teams through phone, email, and contact forms.
Receive inbound sales inquiries from commercial, military, and law enforcement customers, gather information and provide a handoff to the appropriate department.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.
Update and maintain account records within a Customer Resource Management (CRM) system.
Maintain high standards of integrity, safety, and professionalism, and contribute to a positive team culture.
Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.
Participates in the company’s efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.
Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment
Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1-2 years of related sales experience, or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
High attention to detail and organizational skills with excellent recordkeeping.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and meet deadlines independently.
Competent with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook; experience with CRM or ERP tools preferred.
Demonstrated ability to recognize and work within our Company Values.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the normal work day – extensively at trade shows, meetings, etc.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
