Sager Electronics is seeking a Regional Credit Manager, to lead credit and collections activities for an assigned customer portfolio while managing and developing a regional credit team. This role is responsible for balancing sound credit risk management with exceptional customer service, ensuring timely collections, supporting business growth, and maintaining strong partnerships with sales leadership and customers.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong business acumen, experience evaluating credit risk, and a proven ability to coach and develop high-performing teams.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, train, and evaluate regional credit personnel.
  • Develop team members' knowledge of credit analysis, collections strategies, and company systems and processes.
  • Monitor performance, provide feedback, and support professional development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Credit Management

  • Manage credit limits and customer exposure within established company policies and approval authorities.
  • Analyze trade reports, customer financial statements, credit references, and other relevant information to make informed credit decisions.
  • Assess customer creditworthiness while balancing risk mitigation and revenue opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and key contact for regional sales leadership regarding customer credit concerns.

Collections & Accounts Receivable

  • Oversee collection efforts to ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.
  • Partner directly with customers to resolve payment issues and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Ensure customer accounts are properly documented with accurate and timely notes.
  • Escalate high-risk or doubtful accounts to the Director, Corporate Credit when appropriate.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage and monitor credit hold processes, including communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Review credit hold accounts daily to ensure timely resolution whenever possible.
  • Partner with cash application teams to reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor credit and collections processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and customer experience.
  • Support corporate credit initiatives and participate in regional credit meetings.

What you Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, or credit risk management.
  • Previous experience leading, coaching, or supervising employees.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial information and credit risk.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems.

Preferred

  • Experience within distribution, manufacturing, industrial, or B2B environments.
  • Knowledge of commercial credit practices and financial statement analysis.
  • Experience partnering closely with sales organizations.

Compensation:

Annual base salary range of $108,000 – $136,000, plus eligibility for a 10% discretionary annual bonus. 

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level. Final base salary and bonus details will be confirmed at the time of offer. 

Location:

On-site presence in the Norwell, MA office as needed. Due to the on‑site requirements of this position, applicants are expected to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the designated work location (Norwell, MA). This role does not offer relocation.
