Financial Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Controller to assess operating results, monitor performance trends, and deliver analysis that supports management decisions and profitability goals.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, capital spending reviews, incentive calculations, and special financial projects that align with site objectives.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close activities to help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Carry out recurring daily, weekly, and monthly financial tasks for the plant while maintaining reliability and consistency across reports and deliverables.
• Research financial data within company systems, perform detailed analysis, and complete required reporting for business and finance stakeholders.
• Help strengthen accounting workflows by improving documentation, refining processes, and promoting greater efficiency within finance operations.
• Support compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures across assigned areas of responsibility.
• Examine financial transactions, determine appropriate accounting treatment, and provide recommendations based on established standards and company guidelines.
• Review production hours entered in the payroll system, reconcile balances, and help maintain accuracy in labor-related reporting.
Qualifications:
• Experience in financial analysis within a manufacturing, plant, or operations-focused environment.• Strong capability in financial modeling, variance analysis, and ad hoc reporting to support business decisions.
• Proficiency in analyzing large data sets and using data mining techniques to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, journal entry preparation, and month-end close processes.
• Ability to interpret financial policies, internal controls, and company procedures with a high degree of accuracy.
• Advanced attention to detail with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recurring deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with finance leadership and operational teams.
