Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support accounting operations for a manufacturing organization in Northern, Colorado. This Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage day-to-day financial activities while maintaining accuracy across tax and general accounting processes. The role will contribute to timely reporting, transaction review, and compliance-related tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to keep financial records accurate and up to date.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.

• Support corporate tax activities, including the preparation of documentation for filings and related reporting.

• Process and review sales tax information to help ensure compliance with applicable requirements.

• Assist with corporate tax return preparation by gathering financial data and organizing supporting records.

• Handle accounts payable tasks, including reviewing invoices and coordinating timely payment processing.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to verify financial information and improve the accuracy of accounting outputs.

Qualifications:

• Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role.
• Knowledge of corporate tax principles and related accounting practices.
• Familiarity with sales tax processes and compliance requirements.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and manage general ledger activity.
• Hands-on experience supporting accounts payable functions.
• Understanding of corporate tax return support and financial documentation preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a deadline-driven setting.

Compensation

$25.65-$29.70 Hourly
