Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support billing operations for a Contract position based in Collierville, Tennessee. This role focuses on producing accurate invoices, maintaining clean billing records, and ensuring charges are applied in line with customer agreements and service activity. The ideal candidate brings experience in fast-paced invoicing environments, works comfortably across finance and operations, and can manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare recurring customer invoices for service agreements and confirm charges match approved terms, pricing, and included services.
• Examine service tickets and related records to verify billable labor, materials, and project work before invoicing customers.
• Coordinate with operational and service teams to resolve missing details, billing exceptions, and documentation issues that affect invoice accuracy.
• Manage billing activity across ConnectWise and NetSuite, helping ensure transactions are transferred correctly and posted to the appropriate customer accounts.
• Create and maintain sales orders and billing structures that support project work, recurring services, and contract updates.
• Process invoicing for active projects, including milestone-based fixed fee work and time-and-materials engagements, on a daily and monthly schedule.
• Handle credit memo requests by reviewing supporting information, processing approved adjustments, and tracking trends through regular reporting.
• Update customer billing records to reflect contract changes such as additions, removals, renewals, and other account revisions.
• Contribute to month-end invoicing tasks, deferred revenue support, and ongoing efforts to improve billing accuracy, turnaround time, and compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of practical experience in billing or invoicing, ideally within a service-based or high-volume transaction environment.

• Working knowledge of billing or accounting platforms, with ConnectWise and NetSuite experience strongly REQUIRED!!

• Understanding of recurring revenue processes, invoice validation, and basic accounting concepts such as account coding and revenue timing.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, along with accurate data entry and record maintenance skills.

• Ability to manage accounts receivable-related billing activity, invoice processing, and credit memo administration with strong attention to detail.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and customers on billing questions.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines, including month-end responsibilities.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; comparable relevant experience will also be considered.

Compensation

$25.65-$29.70 Hourly
