Human Resources (HR) Coordinator
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of employee files and HR records, ensuring documentation remains complete, accurate, and current.
• Coordinate the full onboarding process for new hires, including forms, communication, scheduling, and orientation support to help employees begin smoothly.
• Process employee updates within Paychex and assist with payroll-related changes, time-off tracking, and personnel data administration.
• Manage pre-employment screening activities through Shield or a comparable screening system, following up to keep hiring steps on schedule.
• Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, onboarding, and general administrative matters in a thorough and timely manner.
• Support benefit administration by assisting with employee questions, requests, and related documentation.
• Contribute to employment verification requests, compliance reporting, internal audits, and other required HR documentation.
• Assist with training logistics, employee engagement efforts, and special HR projects as needed by the department.
• Provide dependable administrative support to the HR team while maintaining discretion with sensitive employee information and ensuring timely completion of open items.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in an HR Coordinator, HR Assistant, HR Administrator, or similar human resources support role.• Practical experience using Paychex for HR administration, employee updates, or payroll-related tasks.
• Background in coordinating onboarding for new employees and delivering a detail-oriented orientation experience.
• Familiarity with Shield or another background screening platform used for pre-employment checks.
• Strong knowledge of HR administrative practices, compliance documentation, and employee record management.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with discretion in handling confidential information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, in a fast-paced work setting.
Compensation
