Accounting Assistant
Responsibilities:
• Enter accounts receivable activity and post financial transactions accurately using established internal procedures.
• Review, code, and process vendor invoices while helping keep accounts payable records organized and current.
• Assist with bank reconciliation activities by comparing account activity and resolving routine discrepancies.
• Handle a steady volume of invoice-related work each day while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Provide additional administrative and accounting support to the controller, office supervisor, and broader team as needed.
• Prioritize work effectively during high-volume periods, especially on the busiest days of the week.
• Follow manual and legacy accounting processes carefully in an office environment with limited reliance on newer technology tools.
• Contribute to consistent daily operations in a quiet, team-oriented workplace serving a family-owned business.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in an office setting.• Ability to code invoices and enter financial information with a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and routine transaction matching.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while managing repetitive accounting tasks.
• Comfortable adapting to established, traditional workflows and manual processing methods.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
• Spanish language skills are helpful but not required.
