Document Controller
Responsibilities:
• Update, organize, and format quality procedures and related controlled documents to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Maintain training records and supporting files so documentation remains current, complete, and easy to retrieve.
• Process document revisions and change requests while preserving backup copies of prior versions for recordkeeping purposes.
• Distribute, scan, compile, and file quality documentation in accordance with internal control practices.
• Review completed production work orders and associated records to confirm documentation is properly prepared and ready for filing.
• Support document traceability by verifying records, archiving materials, and keeping filing systems well maintained.
• Perform the majority of daily work within computer-based systems while also spending time on the production floor to collect or confirm documentation.
• Follow written and verbal instructions carefully and carry out additional related tasks as business needs require.
• Complete all activities in alignment with quality management expectations and established workplace safety requirements.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in document control, records management, or a similar documentation-focused role.• Proficiency with document scanning, compiling, filing, and maintaining organized electronic and physical records.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and proper formatting.
• Comfort working in a role that involves both extensive computer use and regular time in a production environment.
• Ability to follow written procedures and verbal direction with consistency and professionalism.
• Working knowledge of quality-controlled documentation practices and the importance of compliance.
• Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple records and document requests efficiently.
Compensation
