Banner HRIS Consultant

We are partnering with a higher education institution seeking an experienced Banner HRIS Consultant to provide hands-on support for its HR systems environment. This consultant will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting HR operations, developing reports, and serving as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams.

This position is available on a 100% remote basis with EST hours.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the organization's Banner HRIS environment.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL queries, reports, and data extracts using Oracle PL/SQL.
• Manage HR data imports, exports, integrations, and ongoing data flows.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of employee and organizational data.
• Partner closely with HR, Payroll, and other business stakeholders to gather requirements and resolve issues.
• Translate business needs into technical solutions and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Create and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports to support operational and compliance needs.
• Perform data audits, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Support process improvement initiatives related to HR systems, reporting, and data management.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting Banner HRIS environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL for Banner HRIS reporting and data analysis
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting, and manipulation of large datasets.
• Experience gathering requirements from business users and translating them into technical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
