Legal E-Billing Specialist

Robert Half has partnered with a respected national law firm to identify an experienced E-Billing Specialist to support attorneys, billing teams, clients, and eBilling vendors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant electronic billing.

Key Responsibilities

Review time and expense entries for compliance with client billing guidelines and eBilling requirements.

Prepare, edit, generate, and submit invoices through eBillingHub and various client-specific platforms.

Monitor invoices for rejections, reductions, and other submission issues; research discrepancies and recommend resolutions.

Work with billing attorneys, legal assistants, clients, and eBilling vendors to establish matters, billing profiles, timekeeper rates, and access.

Prepare and modify LEDES files and invoices as needed.

Assist with annual rate submissions, budgets, accruals, and client billing reports.

Maintain billing information and approved biller lists within 3E or similar accounting systems.

Partner with eBilling vendors and technical support to resolve system and invoice issues.

Provide guidance and support to attorneys and staff regarding eBilling processes and requirements.

Identify opportunities to improve eBilling procedures, training, and workflows.

Qualifications

Prior 3 plus years of legal eBilling experience is required.

Experience with eBillingHub, 3E, or similar legal billing systems strongly preferred.

Familiarity with platforms such as Legal Tracker, Collaborati, Passport, InTapp, or TyMetrix360 is a plus.

Strong understanding of legal billing procedures and client billing guidelines, particularly insurance-related billing.

Excellent attention to detail, analytical and mathematical skills.

Strong written and verbal communication and professional customer-service skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• At least 3 years of experience in legal e-billing or a closely related law firm billing role.
• Hands-on experience with eBillingHub, 3E, or similar legal billing and accounting platforms.
• Knowledge of client-facing billing systems such as Legal Tracker, Collaborati, Passport, InTapp, or TyMetrix360 is preferred.
• Strong understanding of legal billing practices and client invoicing rules, including insurance billing requirements.
• High level of accuracy with strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented, service-oriented approach.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while meeting deadlines and exercising sound judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Compensation

$75,000.00-$85,000.00 Yearly
