A leading investment firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to support fund accounting, financial reporting, and broader finance operations. This role will work closely with the Senior Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller, as well as internal Legal and Investor Relations teams.

 

Responsibilities

Fund & Management Company Accounting

  • Assist with wires related to capital distributions, redemptions, and expenses.
  • Support quarterly and annual close, including financial statements, supporting schedules, and valuation-related work.
  • Work closely with the external fund administrator to review and monitor books and records.
  • Prepare quarterly investor reports and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with complex valuations, public comparable analyses, and liquidation waterfalls.
  • Monitor and coordinate the collection of financial data from privately held portfolio companies.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with finance policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external auditors and support year-end audit and tax preparation.

Investor & Limited Partner Support

  • Partner with Finance and Investor Relations teams on capital call and distribution allocations.
  • Prepare investor notices and related supporting materials.
  • Track and prepare Limited Partner and portfolio company audit confirmations.
  • Assist with improving and automating the confirmation process.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience within private equity, private credit, venture capital, public accounting, or fund administration.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with PowerPoint.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in a high-performance environment.
