Dispatcher – HVAC Services

A growing HVAC services company in San Marcos is looking for a Dispatcher to coordinate daily schedules for field technicians throughout North County San Diego. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, quick on their feet, and comfortable making decisions when priorities change throughout the day.

You'll communicate with technicians, customers, service managers, and office staff to make sure appointments are scheduled efficiently and urgent service requests are handled appropriately. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment where every day brings something different, this could be a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily service calls and appointments for field technicians
• Dispatch technicians based on location, skill set, availability, and urgency
• Monitor technician schedules throughout the day
• Communicate appointment updates with customers
• Respond quickly to emergency and same-day service requests
• Adjust schedules when cancellations, delays, or emergencies occur
• Maintain accurate service records within the scheduling system
• Communicate job details and customer information to technicians
• Coordinate with Service Managers regarding priority calls
• Follow up on incomplete work orders and outstanding service requests
• Assist with customer questions regarding scheduling and arrival times
• Prepare daily technician and scheduling reports

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of dispatch, scheduling, customer service, logistics, or office coordination experience
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, facilities, or field service experience is preferred
• Excellent phone and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
• Strong geographical knowledge of San Diego County is a plus
• Comfortable learning scheduling and dispatch software
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to stay calm and professional when priorities change quickly
