This role plays an integral part in Division of Student Affairs department services. It works in collaboration with the rest of our team to implement marketing strategies, create and post content on the Student Affairs social media channels, create newsletters, and manage other aspects of our marketing efforts. The role is pivotal in building strong partnerships with department clients, ensuring that marketing requests are implemented effectively and that students are meaningfully connected to events, programs, services, and campus resources.

Core Skills

  • Copywriting/editing across formats (social, email, print, web, signage) with brand/style consistency
  • Graphic design proficiency (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva)
  • Social media management (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok) — content creation, scheduling, live event coverage, community engagement
  • Email marketing/newsletter platforms (Mailchimp or similar)
  • Digital signage and event calendar systems
  • Analytics tools (native platform insights, Google Analytics) to measure and adjust strategy
  • Strong project management and attention to detail for juggling recurring deliverables

Preferred

  • Bachelor's in Marketing/Communications/Journalism or related field
  • Higher ed or student affairs marketing experience

Job Summary

Coordinates marketing strategies and functions for University brands, services, and product lines working across multiple markets and channels while adhering to strict branding and style guidelines. Employs writing and graphic design skills to target specific audiences across various mediums using analytics and metrics to measure and improve results. Writes and adapts collateral copy; designs and produces marketing materials. Works with authors and acquisition editors, purchases advertising, and assists in market development strategies.

Physical Effort
