Desktop Support Analyst

We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join our Insurance client in New York, New York on a Contract assignment. This role will provide hands-on technical assistance across Windows and macOS environments, helping employees stay productive through reliable desktop, device, and virtual workspace support. The position also plays an important part in user administration, issue resolution, and day-to-day service delivery using modern support and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities:
• Deliver front-line and second-level technical assistance for end users working on Windows 10 and macOS devices, resolving desktop, hardware, software, and access-related issues.
• Administer user accounts, groups, and endpoint policies through JumpCloud and related identity or directory management tools.
• Support provisioning, setup, and ongoing maintenance of virtual desktop environments, including Amazon WorkSpaces or comparable VDI platforms.
• Diagnose and correct problems involving laptops, workstations, peripherals, mobile devices, and basic network connectivity.
• Perform software deployment, desktop imaging, operating system updates, and routine system configuration to keep devices standardized and secure.
• Manage incoming support requests through Jira, document resolutions clearly, and communicate status updates with employees and teammates through Slack and other internal channels.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve support processes, strengthen service quality, and maintain dependable IT operations.
• Follow established security standards, device management practices, and company technology policies when handling systems and user support activities.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in desktop support, help desk, or a similar technical support role.
• Demonstrated success supporting both Windows and macOS environments in a detail-oriented setting.
• Practical experience with JumpCloud for user lifecycle management, device administration, and policy enforcement.
• Familiarity with Amazon WorkSpaces, AWS-based end-user computing, or other VDI technologies.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across desktop hardware, workstation builds, imaging, peripherals, and mobile device support.
• Working knowledge of tools and services such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Jira, Slack, Active Directory, and MDM platforms.
• Associate’s degree or higher in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a service-oriented environment.

Compensation

$28.50-$33.00 Hourly
