Medical Front Desk Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and visitors courteously, provide front desk assistance, and ensure a positive first impression of the practice.
• Coordinate appointment calendars by booking, confirming, rescheduling, and cancelling visits based on office procedures and patient needs.
• Complete patient check-in activities, including verifying demographic details, collecting necessary documentation, and directing patients appropriately.
• Answer incoming calls, respond to routine inquiries, and route messages to clinical or administrative staff in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate patient information within the electronic health record system and update records as needed for each visit.
• Support daily medical office operations by handling general receptionist tasks, preparing forms, and organizing front desk workflow.
• Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and internal team members to help appointments and office processes run smoothly.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a medical front office, healthcare reception, or similar patient-facing administrative role.• Working knowledge of patient scheduling processes and day-to-day front desk responsibilities in a clinical environment.
• Ability to perform patient check-in tasks accurately while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and the ability to use it appropriately in administrative settings.
• Experience using an EHR system to enter, review, and maintain patient information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
• Reliable organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical office.
Compensation
