Finance Operations Associate

We are looking for a Finance Operations Associate to support day-to-day accounting and administrative activities for a team based in Washington, District of Columbia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling financial records with accuracy. The person in this role will help maintain smooth finance operations by managing transactions, documentation, and routine coordination across core accounting processes.

Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices, review supporting details, and help ensure payments are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Record incoming payments, update account information, and assist with monitoring outstanding balances.
• Enter financial and operational data into internal systems with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
• Provide administrative support for finance activities, including organizing records, preparing documentation, and responding to routine requests.
• Assist with day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to maintain efficient workflow coverage.
• Reconcile transaction details and flag discrepancies so they can be resolved promptly.
• Support continuity of finance operations during a team leave period, including knowledge transfer and short-term overlap as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable functions in a detail-focused setting.
• Strong data entry skills with careful attention to detail and record accuracy.
• Background in invoice handling, payment tracking, and financial document management.
• Ability to manage recurring administrative tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and a dependable, team-oriented work style.
• Comfort working with spreadsheets, accounting records, and routine financial reporting tools.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
