Tax Staff - Corporate
Responsibilities:
• Manage the preparation and submission of corporate income tax returns across federal, state, and local jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Develop quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations in accordance with applicable accounting guidance and company reporting standards.
• Contribute to tax planning efforts by evaluating opportunities to reduce exposure, improve efficiency, and support informed business decisions.
• Reconcile tax-related ledger activity and maintain organized documentation that supports filings, provisions, and audit readiness.
• Monitor updates in tax legislation and interpret new requirements to determine operational and financial impact on the business.
• Assist with internal and external tax examinations by compiling requested records, addressing follow-up questions, and supporting issue resolution.
• Prepare and review indirect tax filings, including sales and use tax and property tax submissions, as required by jurisdictional rules.
• Partner with accounting, finance, and operational stakeholders to confirm proper tax treatment for transactions and business activities.
• Review financial data and accounting records to identify potential tax risks, compliance gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Track filing schedules and payment deadlines through compliance calendars to help ensure all obligations are completed on time.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in corporate tax, including income tax compliance responsibilities.• Working knowledge of corporate income tax return preparation and multi-jurisdictional filing requirements.
• Experience supporting quarterly and annual tax provision processes.
• Familiarity with sales and use tax, property tax, or other indirect tax filing obligations.
• Ability to research tax rules, interpret regulatory changes, and apply findings to business situations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and reconciliation skills with close attention to detail.
• Proficiency in collaborating with accounting and finance teams to support accurate tax reporting.
Compensation
