Psychiatric Care Coordinator
We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to support a behavioral healthcare team in Portland, Oregon. This Contract position focuses on creating a smooth experience for patients by coordinating appointments, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with front-end care processes. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and comfortable handling scheduling and insurance-related tasks in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate patient appointments and manage daily scheduling needs to support efficient clinic operations.

• Welcome and assist patients during check-in while helping address routine questions and service needs.
• Maintain and update medical records with accuracy to ensure documentation is complete and accessible.
• Communicate with patients regarding upcoming visits, scheduling changes, and appointment availability.
• Review insurance information and support referral and verification activities before scheduled services.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to help keep patient flow organized throughout the day.
Qualifications:
• Experience supporting patient scheduling in a healthcare or medical office environment.
• Ability to manage patient medical records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Prior experience with an EHR system, preferably Care Logic
• Working knowledge of appointment coordination and front-desk patient assistance.
• Familiarity with patient check-in procedures and general administrative support tasks.
• Experience handling insurance referrals and benefit verification processes.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills in a patient-facing setting.
Compensation
