Sr. HR Generalist
We are looking for an experienced Sr. HR Manager to join a growing organization in Miami, Florida in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR specialist who can manage daily people operations while also helping shape long-term HR strategy and structure. The position is fully onsite and offers the opportunity to build and formalize core HR practices for a small, evolving workforce.
Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day human resources activities across employee relations, policy administration, onboarding, offboarding, and general HR operations.
• Partner with leadership to establish and strengthen HR programs, processes, and organizational structure as the function continues to grow.
• Oversee recruiting and new employee integration efforts to ensure a smooth and compliant hiring experience.
• Manage employee matters with sound judgment, including performance concerns, separations, and workplace policy interpretation.
• Support payroll and benefits-related coordination while maintaining accurate employee records and HR system data.
• Review and update the employee handbook, internal policies, and procedural documentation to align with business needs and employment regulations.
• Advise the organization on compliance considerations tied to employees working remotely or potentially being engaged in additional states.
• Operate as the primary HR point of contact for a small team while laying the groundwork for future expansion of the department.
Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in broad-based human resources roles with responsibility across multiple HR disciplines.• Strong background in employee relations, HR administration, onboarding, and policy management.
• Working knowledge of benefits coordination, payroll processes, and HRIS platforms.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with direct execution in an independent contributor role.
• Familiarity with employment compliance requirements, including considerations for multi-state or remote employee populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to advise leadership and support employees effectively.
• Proven ability to create structure, improve processes, and build scalable HR practices within a growing organization.
