Financial Analyst

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support business performance through thoughtful analysis, practical recommendations, and close partnership with cross-functional teams in Wayne, New Jersey. This role is ideal for someone who understands retail or wholesale operations, can interpret financial results with confidence, and brings a proactive mindset to improving reporting and planning processes. The successful candidate will combine strong financial acumen with curiosity, initiative, and the ability to build productive relationships across departments.

Responsibilities:
• Examine financial results, operating trends, and key performance indicators to identify risks, opportunities, and drivers of business performance.
• Build and refine financial models, forecasts, and ad hoc analyses that support planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
• Partner with department leaders to understand spending priorities, budget usage, and operational needs, translating business activity into financial insight.
• Review profit and loss statements, capital expenditures, and retail performance metrics to provide clear recommendations for management.
• Conduct variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods, explaining results and highlighting actionable next steps.
• Use data mining and analytical techniques to uncover patterns, improve reporting accuracy, and support more informed decisions.
• Recommend process enhancements, reporting tools, and workflow improvements that strengthen financial visibility and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on finance-related initiatives, including changes to systems or reporting processes when applicable.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a financial analysis role supporting retail operations; luxury retail exposure is strongly preferred, and wholesale experience is also valuable.

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Demonstrated ability to create financial models and perform ad hoc analysis in a fast-paced business environment.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in variance analysis, trend evaluation, and interpreting large data sets.

• 2+ years of experience as an Analyst

• Ability to work closely with business partners and department heads, building credibility through strong communication and commercial understanding.

• SAP experience is ideal. Power Bi is a plus.

Compensation

$90,000.00-$95,000.00 Yearly
