Human Resources (HR) Director

Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301, US Temporary
Compensation: $61.75 to $71.50 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Director to help build and strengthen a scalable people function for a growing organization in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This Long-term Contract position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, focusing on establishing clear HR processes, improving employee programs, and supporting leadership through organizational growth. The role will guide the development of policies, compliance practices, reporting standards, and workforce planning to create a strong foundation for the future.

Responsibilities:
• Evaluate current people operations, policies, and responsibilities to identify gaps and opportunities for a more effective HR structure.
• Design practical HR frameworks, including role ownership, team structure recommendations, and support for future staffing plans.
• Create standardized procedures across the employee lifecycle, covering hiring, onboarding, performance management, internal movement, employee relations, and separation processes.
• Produce clear documentation such as policy guidelines, workflow maps, operational playbooks, and recordkeeping standards.
• Strengthen onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives to improve the overall employee experience.
• Advise managers and executives on performance issues, employee relations matters, and leadership practices during periods of change.
• Review HR compliance practices to ensure alignment with employment regulations and reduce organizational risk.
• Assess HR systems, employee data processes, and reporting capabilities, then recommend improvements that support decision-making and workforce planning.
• Partner with leadership to communicate and implement HR-related changes as the organization continues to expand.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in human resources, with exposure to both strategic planning and day-to-day HR operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of employee relations, HR administration, and compensation and benefits practices.
• Experience supporting HR compliance efforts and applying employment-related policies and documentation standards.
• Ability to assess business needs, define project scope, and develop structured plans for department initiatives.
• Familiarity with HR systems, employee records management, and reporting processes.
• Strong background in change management and organizational change support.
• Effective communication and stakeholder partnership skills, with the ability to guide leadership and managers through HR improvements.

Compensation

$61.75-$71.50 Hourly
