Patient Service Representative
We are looking for a Bilingual Spanish Patient Service Representative to support front-end patient access and administrative operations in Miami, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can deliver courteous service, manage registration and scheduling tasks, and keep billing and patient records accurate in a fast-paced healthcare setting. The person in this role will serve as a key point of contact for patients while helping maintain compliance, documentation quality, and smooth daily clinic workflow.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and visitors professionally, providing responsive service that reflects established customer care standards in every interaction.
• Complete patient intake and registration activities while safeguarding confidential health and financial information.
• Perform financial screening, collect applicable payments, and enter fee details accurately into the appropriate records.
• Maintain daily logs, activity statistics, and supporting documentation to help track operational performance.
• Process billing for assigned providers and review entries to ensure charges are timely, complete, and aligned with organizational guidelines.
• Follow up with providers regarding unresolved encounters or outstanding charges to support accurate claim submission and account resolution.
• Coordinate with program managers regarding appointment activity, including missed visits, cancellations, and schedule updates.
• Contact patients to confirm upcoming appointments and assist with scheduling both new and return visits as needed.
• Verify Medicaid and other managed care coverage, support eligibility and enrollment-related processes, and complete disenrollment steps when required.
• Scan and index documents into patient charts, generate compliance-related reports, and share information about available organizational and community services with patients.
Qualifications:
• Must be bilingual Spanish
• Experience in patient services, a medical front desk, or a healthcare administrative role.
• Working knowledge of patient registration, appointment scheduling, billing support, and payment collection procedures.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems and tools such as Allscripts, Cerner, CRM platforms, Dentrix, or similar applications.
• Ability to verify insurance coverage, support benefit-related processes, and handle authorization or eligibility tasks accurately.
• Strong communication skills with experience answering inbound calls and assisting patients in a detail-focused manner.
• High attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate logs, reports, charts, and electronic documentation.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality standards and best practices for handling sensitive information.
Compensation
