Senior HR Generalist

Our growing organization is seeking an experienced Contract HR Generalist (3 months) to support core human resources functions during an exciting period of growth. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional with strong generalist experience and a proven background in full-cycle payroll. The Contract HR Generalist will be responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, processing payroll accurately and on time, and assisting with onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and HR records management. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Support daily HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee file maintenance, and HR documentation
• Assist with employee relations matters and respond to HR-related questions from staff
• Administer benefits, leave tracking, and HR policies and procedures
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and payroll regulations
• Update and maintain HRIS and payroll systems, including reporting and data entry
• Support recruiting coordination, new hire orientation, and other HR initiatives as needed

• 3+ years of HR generalist experience
• Demonstrated full-cycle payroll experience required
• Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and payroll compliance
• Experience working in a growing or changing organization preferred
• Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
