Human Resources Manager – Manufacturing

A Growing Manufacturing Organization Is Looking for an HR Leader Who Can Keep Up.

A well-established manufacturing company in Vista is seeking an HR Manager to oversee Human Resources for a diverse workforce that includes both corporate and production employees. This is a highly visible role where you'll partner directly with leadership and managers to improve employee engagement, strengthen HR processes, and support organizational growth.

The ideal candidate is confident, approachable, and comfortable balancing strategic HR initiatives with the day-to-day realities of a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations across multiple departments
• Partner with managers on employee relations and performance issues
• Oversee recruiting and workforce planning
• Develop onboarding and retention strategies
• Manage HR policies, procedures, and compliance programs
• Ensure compliance with California and federal employment regulations
• Oversee benefits, leave, and HR administration
• Partner with Payroll on employee changes and payroll accuracy
• Analyze turnover, headcount, and workforce trends
• Lead employee engagement and development initiatives
• Manage HR projects and process improvements
• Supervise and develop HR support personnel

Qualifications:

• 5–8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
• Previous HR management experience required
• Manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of California employment law
• Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms
• Excellent employee relations and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
