HR Assistant

A well-established hospitality organization in La Costa is adding an HR Assistant to support a high-volume employee population. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a people-focused environment and wants to gain experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration. You'll work closely with department managers and employees across the organization, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being visible and hands-on rather than sitting behind a desk all day.
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting and interview scheduling
- Coordinate onboarding for new employees
- Maintain employee files and HRIS information
- Assist employees with basic HR questions
- Track attendance, training, and required documentation
- Prepare employee communications and HR forms
- Assist with benefits and leave administration
- Support employee engagement activities
- Help coordinate orientations and training sessions
- Provide administrative support to the HR Manager
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of HR, recruiting, hospitality, or administrative experience
- Strong customer service mindset
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working with employees at all levels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- HR education or certification is a plus
Compensation
