HR Manager

Our growing organization is seeking an experienced Contract HR Manager (3 months) to support key human resources functions during an exciting period of expansion. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional with strong generalist experience and a proven background managing full-cycle payroll. The Contract HR Manager will oversee day-to-day HR operations, ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, and support employee relations, compliance, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR policy implementation. The right candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, partnering with leadership, and helping build scalable HR processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Oversee daily HR operations, including employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, and records management
• Administer benefits, leave programs, and HR policies
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and payroll regulations
• Partner with leadership on HR initiatives, workforce planning, and process improvements
• Support performance management, employee engagement, and training efforts
• Maintain HRIS and payroll systems, troubleshoot issues, and generate reports as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR management responsibilities
• Demonstrated full-cycle payroll experience required
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, payroll laws, and best practices
• Experience in a growing or changing organization preferred
• Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
