Employee Relations Specialist
- Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial workplace investigations involving employee complaints, policy violations, misconduct allegations, and other employee relations concerns.
- Interview employees, managers, and witnesses to gather relevant facts and assess concerns.
- Review documentation, correspondence, time records, and other relevant materials related to investigations.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and well-organized investigation notes, summaries, and findings reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Partner with Human Resources, legal, and management to recommend appropriate next steps based on investigation outcomes.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on company policies, procedures, and workplace conduct expectations.
- Support resolution of employee relations issues including conflict management, corrective action, and policy interpretation.
- Identify trends in employee relations matters and escalate risks as appropriate.
- Assist with development and delivery of training on workplace policies, respectful conduct, and complaint reporting procedures.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, internal policies, and investigation protocols.
- Maintain accurate case files and update HR systems or tracking logs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in employee relations, human resources, workplace investigations, or a related area preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations practices, investigation techniques, and workplace compliance requirements.
- Excellent interviewing, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain objective in sensitive situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
Compensation
