HR Coordinator

Help Build the Team Behind a Growing Construction Business

A successful commercial construction company is looking for an HR Coordinator to support recruiting, onboarding, payroll administration, employee records, and compliance. This is a great fit for an HR professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants exposure to both office and field employees.

You'll partner with Project Managers, Operations, and company leadership while helping keep HR processes organized and employees supported.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruiting for office and field positions
• Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates
• Manage new hire onboarding and employment documentation
• Maintain employee files and HRIS records
• Process employee changes and payroll-related updates
• Assist with benefits administration
• Track licenses, certifications, and required training
• Support workers' compensation and leave documentation
• Assist with HR compliance and policy administration
• Prepare HR reports and employee communications

Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of HR coordination or HR administrative experience
• Construction or skilled trades experience preferred
• Knowledge of California employment practices
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent follow-through and organizational abilities
• SHRM-CP, aPHR, PHR, or related certification is a plus
