Procedure Scheduler
Tess Gilmore with Robert Half is seeking a Procedure Scheduler to join her client's expanding and growing medical clinic team here in Rochester, NY. As Procedure Secretary you will be responsible for contacting and speaking with patients to schedule procedures while aiding in the efficiency of the day to day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- As directed by Physician, contact patients to schedule procedures.
- As directed by Physicians, process Non-Visit Orders on Recalls, triage incoming referrals for direct book procedure requests and send to physicians for authorization and schedule appointments.
- As directed by Physicians, calls patient to schedule new, follow up/recall outpatient procedure.
- Searches patient information via electronic records system and verifies/updates demographic information for accuracy and HIPAA Compliance.
- May obtain prior authorization for specialty medications and others.
- Processes tasks and or messages in electronic record system.
- Scan outside records into patient's medical chart for provider review.

Qualifications:
Key Requirements:
- Private practice experience preferred no required.
- Comfortable multi-tasking with a sharp attention to detail and follow through.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA Laws and safeguards, or the ability to be trained in HIPAA and OSHA, and be able to follow these guidelines at all times (Required).
- Computer skills: data entry, knowledge of EMR, or ability to be trained.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation
