We are currently hiring for a Manager of Applications Engineering.
What you will do in the position:
- Team Supervision and Leadership
- Participates in hiring process and ensures staff are appropriately trained.
- Conducts performance appraisals; makes salary recommendations.
- Monitors day-to-day performance and provides feedback to employees and senior management.
- Ensures Standard Operating Procedures and applicable laws are followed.
- Follows company policies and treats employees fairly and consistently.
- Resolves employee complaints or work performance issues on a timely basis.
- Provides scheduled training to personnel on all policies and procedures related to the Applications Engineers.
- Applies LEAN principles to continuously improve department operating practices and procedures.
- Assist the Global Application manager to provide team metrics and provisioning of skills to further the company’s support effort.
- Technical and Applications Support for (region)
- Works with customers and the sales team to develop intercom system design for customer applications as needed.
- Provides technical support and assistance for trade shows and customer demonstrations as needed.
Provides technical guidance and review in the preparation of marketing material as needed.
- Provides pre- and post-sales product training including the development, maintenance, and update of training materials as assigned in conjunction with the Training Specialist.
- Provides technical assistance and on-site commissioning as required.
- Provides phone, email, and onsite technical support for existing customers.
- Reviews and publishes technical solutions, application notes across all customer levels (internal and external).
- Provides technical guidance and testing for new products and services.
- Ensures all activities, assignments are thoroughly documented in the company CRM, ERP and FAQ system to ensure 360 degree of all customer interactions.
- Provides input on new tools and SOPs to enhance our tech support offering (regionally and globally).
- To act as the defacto Project Manager for any large/ complex projects.
- Quality Systems & Lean
Thoroughly understands and complies with the company Quality Management System, policies, processes and procedures.
Adheres to relevant QA procedures and work instructions.
Prepares and maintains department’s SOPs and Work Instructions in compliance with QA standards.
Ensures Applications Engineers adhere to QA standards.
Uses Lean principles to ensure and promote 7S.
Uses Lean techniques and tools to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
Promotes and encourages a Lean culture throughout the organization
What you will need to succeed:
- Qualifications
- Proven staff management skills (1-7 employees).
- Project management skills.
- Broadcast Engineer, Audio Engineer, Networking Engineer, Computer Science , Telecoms or similar experience.
- Excellent understanding of IT networks and computer skills.
- Training development and delivery experience.
- Excellent problem solver and can work calmly and professionally under pressure.
- Previous customer service experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Multi-lingual a plus.

- 3+ years of management experience
- Education
- Preferred - 4 Year Bachelors Degree
- Travel: 50%
The posted pay range, $111,400 - $148,500, is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision, and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
