Description
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing one of Revolution's largest strategic customer relationships. This role combines account management, consultative sales, and business development to drive profitable revenue growth, expand share of wallet, and strengthen long term customer partnerships.
Serving as the primary commercial contact for a key customer headquartered in Texas, the Strategic Account Manager works closely with Operations, Engineering, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Leadership to ensure exceptional execution while identifying opportunities to expand Revolution's products and services. Candidates located in Texas are strongly preferred, although candidates located in neighboring states with convenient access to Texas and the ability to travel regularly will also be considered.
The ideal candidate has experience in plastic manufacturing, packaging, film extrusion, converting, or another manufacturing environment and possesses a strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities, develop executive level customer relationships, and deliver value driven manufacturing solutions.
Essential Responsibilities

Manage and grow an assigned strategic customer account by developing and executing account plans focused on revenue growth, profitability, and customer retention.

Build strong relationships with customer contacts across purchasing, operations, engineering, quality, and executive leadership to strengthen long term partnerships.

Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing customer locations, product lines, and business units to increase revenue and share of wallet.

Partner with customers to understand their business objectives, manufacturing requirements, and future growth initiatives.

Recommend manufacturing solutions that leverage Revolution's capabilities and create value for the customer.

Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure successful execution and outstanding customer service.

Coordinate customer projects from opportunity through implementation while ensuring timelines, quality standards, and customer expectations are achieved.

Prepare customer quotations, pricing proposals, business reviews, and commercial recommendations.

Support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and annual business reviews to maximize long term value for both Revolution and the customer.

Monitor account performance including revenue, margins, forecasts, service metrics, and customer satisfaction.

Resolve customer concerns and coordinate internal resources to quickly address issues and maintain positive customer relationships.

Maintain an active sales pipeline and identify opportunities for new products, programs, and additional manufacturing business.

Represent Revolution during customer visits, plant tours, business reviews, and industry events.

Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and account activity reports.

Stay informed of market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth.

Support additional commercial initiatives and strategic projects as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Minimum of five years of experience in account management, business development, sales, or customer management within plastic manufacturing, packaging, converting, industrial manufacturing, or a related industry.

Proven success growing customer accounts and identifying new business opportunities.

Experience selling manufactured products, industrial solutions, or custom engineered products is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of plastic manufacturing, flexible packaging, film extrusion, converting, or related manufacturing processes is preferred.

Strong customer relationship management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively across cross functional teams.

Strong financial acumen with experience managing pricing, profitability, forecasting, and customer business reviews.

Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to travel regularly throughout Texas to support customer meetings and business development activities.

In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting salary for this position ranges from $90k-$120k USD annually. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a range of benefits. Additionally, the benefits and programs available may differ depending on the hire date, schedule type, and hours worked.
