Overview

The Senior Director, Recruitment, Undergraduate Admissions leads the Undergraduate Admissions (UGA) team in building a positive experience, awareness, interest, and connections with prospective NYU students and other constituents through recruitment, customer service, events, relationship management, Alumni engagement, parent engagement, and student onboarding. Design, execute, and improve an annual plan to recruit and yield best-fit applications to the 10 undergraduate schools and colleges in New York in support of the Universitys admissions goals. Alongside leadership, delegate work and provide oversight and support for Undergraduate Admissions, including management of departmental services to ensure all processes, training, and systems effectively support the full admission lifecycle. Make recommendations to leadership to modify recruitment and yield strategies as well as relevant admissions policies and procedures based on data analysis. Oversee outreach to high schools, virtual programming, recruitment initiatives, and partnership development as well as liaise with internal GEMSS leadership to assess and recommend better and more efficient processes and events for recruitment and yield. Partner with recruitment leads at the 10 NY-based undergraduate schools (including high-level consultants) to improve recruitment outcomes.

Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
7+ years progressively responsible professional experience with undergraduate administration or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include previous experience in managing staff, and in an admissions office or academic setting including student recruitment, financial aid or student life.

Preferred Experience:
10+ years progressively responsible professional experience with undergraduate administration or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Valid drivers license. Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and strategic problem solving skills. Strong data analysis and technical skills with experience in developing actionable recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build strong relationships. Ability to manage, lead and mentor staff.


Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $135,000.00 to USD $175,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
