Patient Service Representative
Responsibilities:
• Verify patient insurance coverage and confirm demographic and account details to support accurate billing and service coordination.
• Communicate with patients, payer representatives, and outside vendors to obtain, update, and clarify required information.
• Assist with patient registration activities and ensure records are complete, current, and properly documented.
• Coordinate appointments and support patient scheduling needs while responding to changes and special requests.
• Arrange transportation or other travel-related accommodations for patients when needed.
• Provide courteous front-line service by answering questions, resolving routine concerns, and directing issues appropriately.
• Maintain organized documentation using Microsoft Office tools and internal office processes.
• Work closely with the Revenue Cycle Manager and site leadership to support daily operational needs across assigned locations.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in patient services, patient registration, scheduling, or a related healthcare support role.• Familiarity with insurance verification processes and the ability to work accurately with coverage information.
• Strong communication skills with a detail-oriented approach to patient, vendor, and team interactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications for documentation, coordination, and general administrative tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in an onsite, fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Customer service or call center experience with a focus on responsiveness and problem-solving.
• High level of organization, attention to detail, and reliability in handling sensitive information.
Compensation
