Database Developer

We are looking for a skilled Database Developer to support enterprise data initiatives. This position will concentrate on building and enhancing data warehouse, integration, and reporting solutions that strengthen analytics, operational visibility, and business decisions. The role works closely with technical teams and business partners in an Agile setting to deliver dependable, scalable, and well-governed data systems.

Responsibilities:

• Create, enhance, and maintain enterprise database and data warehouse solutions using Microsoft SQL technologies, Azure services, and modern data integration platforms.

• Develop robust ETL workflows that extract, transform, validate, and load data from multiple sources while improving consistency and usability across reporting environments.

• Turn business and technical needs into practical database designs, reporting structures, and analytics-ready datasets that support organizational decision-making.

• Establish automated controls for data validation, auditing, and quality monitoring to help preserve accuracy and trust in enterprise information.

• Improve database efficiency through query tuning, indexing strategies, and execution plan review to support performance at scale.

• Support scheduled jobs, production monitoring, error resolution, backup processes, and recovery planning to maintain reliable system operations.

• Build reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data outputs using Power BI and related business intelligence tools for a variety of stakeholders.

• Develop and maintain integrations through APIs, web services, and middleware solutions to connect databases with internal and external systems.

• Participate in testing, deployments, upgrades, and technical reviews while promoting secure, standards-aligned development practices.

• Provide guidance to less experienced developers through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and code review activities.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in database development, with significant exposure to data warehousing and analytics environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft SQL, including stored procedures, views, functions, and advanced query optimization.
• Proven experience building ETL processes and data pipelines with Azure Data Factory or comparable tools.
• Solid understanding of relational database design, data modeling, data mapping, and enterprise data architecture principles.
• Demonstrated ability to improve database performance using indexing methods, execution plan analysis, and tuning techniques.
• Experience creating reporting and visualization solutions with Microsoft Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Familiarity with Azure-based data services, cloud data platforms, and secure data management practices including backup and recovery.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting ability, and communication skills, with experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Compensation

$63.34-$73.34 Hourly
