Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our client in Plymouth, Minnesota. This position centers on transforming complex data into meaningful reporting and business insights, with a strong emphasis on Power BI and the Microsoft data environment. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, sharp analytical ability, and the confidence to partner with stakeholders across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that help leaders make informed business decisions.

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather reporting needs, clarify business questions, and convert them into scalable analytics solutions.

• Build and refine data models that improve reporting accuracy, usability, and performance within Power BI.

• Analyze large and sometimes unclear data sets to identify trends, root causes, and actionable recommendations.

• Support the design, organization, and ongoing enhancement of data warehouse structures used for enterprise reporting.

• Establish and reinforce data quality standards by reviewing source data, validating outputs, and promoting sound governance practices.

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and validate data for analysis and reporting purposes.

• Manage multiple initiatives independently while balancing deadlines and delivering high-quality analytical work in a fast-paced sett

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of experience in business analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Power BI experience, including dashboard creation, data modeling, and report performance tuning.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL and the broader Microsoft data ecosystem.
• Experience translating incomplete or complex data into clear business insights and practical recommendations.
• Familiarity with data warehouse design concepts and support for reporting-focused structures.
• Solid understanding of data governance principles and methods for improving data quality.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation

$130,000.00-$150,000.00 Yearly
