Administrative Assistant

Compensation: $28 Hourly

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to support human resources and administrative operations in San Francisco, California. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in coordinating employee processes, maintaining compliance records, and assisting managers with workforce-related needs. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor current human resources policies and guidelines to help ensure day-to-day practices remain compliant and up to date.
• Partner with HR stakeholders to organize, track, and submit employee performance evaluations within established timelines.
• Oversee administrative coordination for hiring activities, including recruitment support, onboarding preparation, and separation processes.
• Collaborate with leadership to address staffing concerns and contribute to the development of workforce goals, processes, and support tools.
• Revise and maintain position documentation so qualifications, licensing expectations, grant conditions, and contract requirements stay accurate.
• Arrange learning initiatives and help administer programs related to career development, workplace health, and safety.
• Verify that employees, volunteers, interns, and other personnel complete required background clearance steps before engagement.
• Support compliance efforts by organizing training records and helping maintain adherence to organizational policies and requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting human resources administration, employee coordination, or related administrative functions.
• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate personnel and compliance records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including managing spreadsheets, tracking data, and producing organized reports.
• Strong database administration and recordkeeping skills with excellent attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work closely with managers, HR teams, and other stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.

Compensation

$28.00-$28.00 Hourly
