Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Elmhurst, Illinois. This position focuses on accurate invoicing, timely collections, and consistent account maintenance while supporting smooth cash flow operations. The ideal candidate brings strong organization, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately, ensuring billing records remain current and complete within the system.

• Coordinate with internal teams to confirm order details and support prompt, accurate customer billing.

• Monitor outstanding receivables, follow up on overdue balances, and help drive timely payment collection.

• Reconcile customer accounts, identify variances, and resolve payment-related issues through research and communication.

• Review aging reports regularly to track delinquent accounts and support compliance with collection goals.

• Maintain organized customer account documentation, including tax exemption records and related billing files.

• Process credit card transactions, account adjustments, and credit memos in accordance with company procedures.

• Respond to customer billing questions, escalate collection concerns when needed, and assist with month-end close deadlines.

• Compile accounts receivable data and contribute to recurring reporting and monthly performance metrics.

Salary: 60-80K

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or a high-volume customer-facing office role.
• Practical knowledge of invoicing, cash collection activity, and customer account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting, tracking, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
• Strong written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities with the capacity to prioritize competing deadlines.
• Dependable availability for consistent on-site work Monday through Friday.
• Ability to commute reasonably to Elmhurst, Illinois.

Compensation

$60,000.00-$80,000.00 Yearly
